Natural Dry Strength

Now there's an alternative to synthetic dry-strength aides. With the invention of Penford's naturally derived Penbond® and Topcat® L product line made from renewable resources, you'll get a product designed to replace synthetic dry strength chemicals while maintaining or increasing strength, retention and drainage. Traditional wet-end starches don't have enough charge density to be retained in a "dirty" or high conductivity furnish. But Penbond® and Topcat® L additives have medium to ultra-high cationic charge to bind with fiber to increase strength. There's also enough charge to promote retention of colloidal material, so it cleans up your system and reduces BOD.
